Mail OTP Autofill – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
What the extension does
When a web page shows a one-time-code (OTP) field, Mail OTP Autofill looks for a recent verification code in the unread mail of the Gmail accounts you are already signed in to in your browser, and offers it to you under the field so you can fill it with one click.
What it accesses
- Gmail unread-mail feed (mail.google.com) for the accounts signed in to your browser, using your existing Gmail session. It reads only the sender, subject and short preview of recent unread messages, and only while an OTP field is on screen.
- Web page content, only to detect OTP input fields and to insert the code you choose.
- Local settings (which accounts to watch, auto-fill on/off) and a short list of already-used code identifiers, stored in your browser.
What it does not do
- It does not send any data to the developer or to any third party. There is no server, analytics, advertising or tracking.
- It does not store your emails, codes or sender addresses beyond the moment they are shown on screen.
- It does not sell or share user data, and does not use it for creditworthiness, lending or advertising.
- It does not read your Gmail password or any Google credentials.
Your control
You can turn off any Gmail account, or enable or disable automatic filling, from the extension's popup. Removing the extension deletes all of its local data.
